US Partnership Manager (Basketball, Field Hockey & Baseball)
Posted Updated
Description
- We’re looking for a Partnership Manager to lead Veo’s growth in basketball nationwide, with field hockey and baseball as emerging markets. Basketball is where our product is furthest along, so that’s where we’re going all in. In field hockey and baseball, you’ll keep a pulse on each market and build early relationships, so we’re ready as our offering grows
- Youth and amateur basketball runs through AAU and grassroots circuits, leagues, state associations, and tournament operators, and the biggest wins come from becoming the recording and video solution those organizations build into how they operate, not from selling club by club. Can you open doors at the organizational level, build trust with decision-makers, and turn partnerships into real adoption? Are you ready to show up at tournaments, demo our tech to coaches and organizers, and make Veo a name the basketball community knows?
- You’ll join our U.S. partnership team (currently four people), report to Mitch LaGro, Regional Head of U.S. Partnerships, and own basketball strategy end to end, with additional responsibility for building out our presence in field hockey and baseball. We expect the large majority of your focus and resources to go to basketball, with the remainder split between field hockey and baseball as we test and grow those markets. You’ll help shape Veo’s strategy, with support from the team and leadership every step of the way
- We’d prefer you to be based in, or willing to relocate to, Miami, where you’ll work in the office alongside the U.S. team
- Own the partnership strategy for basketball and shape it for field hockey and baseball, mapping each sport’s landscape (governing bodies, leagues, circuits, tournament operators, and influential clubs) and prioritizing where Veo can win
- Land and grow organization-level partnerships. Identify, pitch, negotiate, and close agreements with leagues, associations, and federations that embed Veo across their member clubs and teams
- Drive adoption inside partner organizations through programs like video compliance (for example, leagues that require member teams to record their games), league-wide recording, and content and data solutions that give partners a reason to make Veo part of their operations
- Own the full partner lifecycle: onboarding, training, support, co-marketing, renewals, and long-term growth, serving as the main point of contact for your partners
- Build and test new go-to-market motions. Run pilots, starting in basketball, learn what works, and turn early wins into repeatable, scalable programs
- Work hand in hand with Sales and Marketing to turn partnerships into pipeline, supplying sales teams with targeted resources, partner-specific offers, and co-marketing campaigns
- Represent Veo in person at tournaments, showcases, conferences, and league events, and demo the product to coaches, athletic directors, and organizers
- Amplify each sport’s story by curating featured content and working with the social team to grow Veo’s visibility in each community
- Measure and report what matters: partner-sourced revenue, camera and club adoption within partner organizations, pipeline, renewals, and community engagement
Benefits
- A great workplace with cool international colleagues and a flat organization where everyone will be heard
- Autonomy and freedom to find the approaches and best solutions for problems
- Meaningful work that makes a real difference in the world of sports
- Recognition for innovation and excellence
- Social gatherings: We go sailing, climbing, and dining together as often as we can
- Flexibility and versatility in day-to-day work, there are no boring days at Veo!
- Possibility to work in a cool international environment
- A deep knowledge of the U.S. basketball landscape (club and travel circuits, high school and collegiate pathways, governing bodies). An existing basketball network is a big plus, and familiarity with field hockey or baseball is a bonus
- A track record of forming and growing partnerships with leagues, associations, or similar organizations
- 3–5 years of experience in partnership management, business development, or market development, ideally in sports, sports tech, or another high-growth industry
- You can turn a partnership into measurable adoption and revenue, and you’re comfortable owning a plan, a number, and a calendar
- You energize coaches, athletes, and organizers, and you turn enthusiasm into advocacy
- You know how to open doors at the organizational level, build trust with decision-makers, and negotiate agreements that work for both sides
- Basketball is a crowded market, and coaches expect a high-touch experience. You stay responsive, earn their trust, and win them over against established competitors
- Strong skills in strategy, project management, and cross-functional collaboration
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and the ability to work independently with colleagues in Miami and at our Copenhagen HQ
- Authorization to work in the U.S
- You enjoy doubling down on proven approaches and also blazing a trail in sports where Veo has less awareness
- Willingness and ability to travel 30–40% of the time, with peak travel around key tournament and event seasons (often weekends in spring and summer)
