Job Description:
MEDICAL MULTI DROP VAN DRIVER
Polar Speed UPS, Unit 2 Belgrave Court, Caxton Road, Fullwood, Preston, PR2 9ZB
Monday - Friday - 40-48 hours per week - 6.30am start
£12.71 per hour, £31724 p/a - based on 48 hours
Job Purpose and Key Responsibilities:
Managing the scanning of packages or pallets to your delivery vehicle
Managing the safe and secure loading of all consignments
Conducting daily diligence on vehicle safety checks and refrigeration unit
Reporting any issues found on the vehicle checks to line manager
Ensure vehicle is always at the correct temperature
Delivering and collection of pharmaceutical consignments to GP Surgeries, Retail Pharmacies, Hospitals, Wholesalers and Home Delivery Patients
Physcial checking and scanning of all consignments at delivery point
Managing the returns process of all consignments
Maintian the cleanliness of the company vehicle
Maintain the cleanliness of the company uniform and ensure correct PPE is worn, high vis, safety shoes/boots
Specialised Knoweldged and Requirements:
Minimum Category B Drivers Licence with ideally no more than 3 points
Minimum 2 years driving experience including motorway driving
Previous home and/or hospital delivery experience desired but not essential
Experience in multi drop deliveries with customer contact
Good communication skills
Build effective working relationships with customers/clients, colleagues and other departments across the network
Team player mentality with ability to work on own initiative
Appreciate the need for rataining confidentiality
