🌍 About the Company

The Group Finance Director will take ownership of financial strategy, planning, control and performance management across the entire group. Working closely with shareholders, senior management and local finance teams, you will turn financial data into decisions that improve profitability, cash flow and operational efficiency. You will join at an important point in the planning cycle, with an opportunity to shape the 2027 group budget and strengthen the finance function across all markets.

As the role is based at the group’s headquarters in Lithuania, the successful candidate must bring current hands-on expertise and take ownership of Lithuanian accounting, taxation and statutory compliance from the outset.

🔍 Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the group’s financial strategy in line with business priorities;

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning across multiple companies and countries;

  • Analyse performance by market, company, business line, product and project, identifying the drivers behind results;

  • Provide shareholders and senior leaders with scenarios, recommendations and decision-ready financial insight;

  • Evaluate investments, commercial initiatives and strategic projects from a financial and risk perspective;

  • Strengthen cash-flow forecasting, working-capital management, financial KPIs and management reporting;

  • Coordinate group reporting and consolidation while establishing consistent planning and control principles across all entities;

  • Take direct ownership of financial, accounting, tax and statutory compliance for the Lithuanian entities, while coordinating local chief accountants, auditors, tax advisers and legal specialists across the group’s other markets;

  • Lead and develop the finance team, setting clear objectives and strengthening accountability for results;

  • Improve finance and accounting processes through automation, analytics and better use of management information systems.

🎓 Requirements

  • University degree in finance, economics or a closely related field;

  • At least 5 years of experience leading a finance department or finance function, preferably within a group of companies;

  • Strong expertise in financial planning, budgeting, performance control, cash-flow management and financial analysis;

  • Current, hands-on knowledge of Lithuanian accounting, corporate taxation, statutory reporting and the financial legislation applicable to Lithuanian companies, gained through direct professional responsibility in Lithuania;

  • Experience managing finance across several companies, business units or operational areas;

  • Proven ability to lead teams, challenge decisions constructively and deliver complex change;

  • Fluent Lithuanian and Russian, both written and spoken, are mandatory for this role. Professional working proficiency in English is also required;

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills and experience working with financial or analytical systems.

  • Recent senior-level experience carrying financial and statutory responsibility for one or more Lithuanian legal entities;

Nice to Have

  • Experience as a Group Finance Director, Group CFO, Finance Director or Head of Finance in an international organisation;

  • Background in FinTech, payments, banking technology, IT, telecommunications or international B2B services;

  • Hands-on experience with Power BI or comparable business intelligence tools;

  • Knowledge of Rivilė, with 1C experience considered an additional advantage;

  • Experience improving or automating finance and accounting processes.

🤝 Key Competencies

  • Strategic thinking combined with the ability to investigate operational detail;

  • Confidence to present and defend a well-supported position with shareholders and senior leaders;

  • Strong leadership presence and the ability to build credibility across technical and operational teams;

  • Clear communication with executives, chief accountants, analysts and external advisers;

  • Commercial judgement and the ability to connect financial results with underlying business decisions;

  • Ownership, resilience and a consistent focus on implementation and measurable outcomes.

✨ The Employer Offers

  • A competitive monthly salary aligned with the seniority of the role;

  • Professional development through training, specialist resources and international conferences;

  • International exposure across technology, payments, banking and telecommunications businesses;

  • Health, wellbeing and leisure support;

  • A stable, long-term leadership role based in Vilnius.
